Dogs that follow their natural instincts to explore are at risk of picking up fleas and ticks. Even dogs that stay home are still vulnerable to pests that still somehow find a way inside to get what they want. That’s why it’s important to keep your dog protected against fleas and ticks, regardless of where they live, where they go, or what the season is. Frontline for dogs not only kills fleas already on your pet, but continues to protect the dog against fleas and ticks for a month. It kills adult fleas before they can lay their eggs, which stops a possible flea problem before it even starts. And it kills flea eggs and larvae that have already been laid. It also kills several varieties of ticks.
Applying the flea and tick protection is easy. Frontline comes in small tubes, which you open, attach an applicator tip. Place the tube with the tip between the dog’s shoulder blades, with the tip going past the fur and contacting the skin. Squeeze the tube to apply the drops, and you’re done! The dog’s movement will distribute the drops throughout its coat, protecting your pet from fleas and ticks within hours. It’s waterproof, so if you take the dog to the lake or give it a bath, the protection will stay in place. The process only needs to be repeated once a month to maintain complete protection. As a pet owner, I think it’s well worth the small amount of time and money to keep my pet protected from fleas and ticks.
